The Saturday of the Olympics’ final weekend is action packed as London begins its farewell to the biggest event in the sporting world. And despite the countless memorable moments to look back on, there’s still time for more with a full schedule.
One of those moments came from Mo Farah, whose endurance run in the 10,000m excited the world. Farah’s coach says he’s fresher than before, and with half the distance to run, can Farah pull off a double in the men’s 5,000m final? He’s at 1.33 to win a medal with Unibet.co.uk and 2.75 to take home the gold.
Continuing our faithful British theme, we’ll be backing Team GB to take the bronze medal in their men’s field hockey match against Australia. Whilst the Aussies might be the world number one, they are more than likely to be reeling from not having made the final, and a vociferous British support will continue to knock them back. The Aussies let a 3-0 lead slip away against the Brits in the group stage in a 3-3 draw, and it says here the GB men will disappoint them again and take home a bronze to match the ladies achievement. Unibet have GB at a cracking 5.00 to win the match and it’s a value punt.
Finally, Usain Bolt bows out of London 2012, as he and his pals from Jamaica take on the men’s 4x100m relay field – and more than likely destroy it. At a price of 1.15 to win, that looks like free money. Bolt and Blake are untouchable, so even if the other two stumble, these two heroes will ensure a third Jamaican men’s sprint gold.
