The Irish Olympic House, based at the Big Chill House near London’s King Cross Station, will bring the sound of Ireland to the Olympics with over 30 different acts playing during the Games fortnight.

A host of Irish performers will be appearing on stage at Ireland’s national house, with performances ranging from hip hop to blues and folk, punk rock and Irish dancing. Emerging talents The Original Rude Boys will line up alongside more familiar names such as Wallis Bird, Paddy Kennan and Mick Flannery.

Open from 10am on 27 July, the Irish Olympic House will offer live entertainment until 2am ever day with visitors able to enjoy a variety of performers during their visit.

Call it an orange-themed castle for Dutch sports fans. The Alexandra Palace in North London will be transformed into the Holland Heineken House from July 26 to August 12, making it one of the Games’ premier places to party.

The vibrant House will be celebrating its 20th Anniversary in style, on a 196-acre park with expansive views of the London skyline. Hosted by the Netherlands Olympic Committee, this year’s Heineken House, featuring a “This Must be Holland” theme, will be twice as large as any other past venue.

If fans didn’t score tickets to watch their favorite athletes compete, not to worry. The Heineken Arena boasts a 500-capacity grandstand with big screens broadcasting competitions featuring Dutch Olympic athletes.

Two of the most vibrant places to experience the Olympic atmosphere this summer are bound to be Perks Field and the nearby Albert Memorial Lawns – as that’s where the fun-loving Russians are planning to base themselves with Russia Sochi Park.

Russians are known for their marvellous hospitality and this looks set to be no exception, with little expense spared in offering visitors a fantastic experience.
