With an exciting men’s basketball tournament at this year’s Olympics, featuring NBA stars on a number of the international teams, the London Games are bringing pro hoops’ best to a wide British audience. And the NBA itself wants to get in on the action. This will come in the form of the NBA House at the Jubilee Hall in Covent Garden, which will witness a celebration of basketball as the iconic building is transformed into a mini NBA mecca.
The NBA House is completely free and will be open daily from 10am to 6pm until 12 August. It offers the opportunity for the public to participate in basketball activities and other interactive games. Highlights include live performances from NBA dance teams, a basketball clinic, and an opportunity to create your own golden moment with a green-screen photo opportunity with the NBA Championship Trophy.
You can also measure yourself against life size player cutouts, practice your shooting skills and then participate in basketball competitions. When that’s done, you can purchase official NBA merchandise and meet NBA legends, as London comes down with a case of basketball fever over the Olympics’ final week.
