Join Denmark’s three-week raid of St. Katharine Docks in London for a full-blooded Danish experience. IMAGINATION Courtyard is the place to be to involve yourself in a unique cultural experience courtesy of the Danes.
The Danes are famous for their sense of “hygge,” or cosiness, and if you’re looking for a relaxing way to enjoy this summer’s Olympics, look no further than this incredible, interactive Danish summer party.
The docks will be turned into a cultural extravaganza, with the centrepiece being a real 17.3m-long Viking ship from the Roskilde Viking Museum. This is a great opportunity to learn about Viking history and of course to hop on board and have your photo taken with a real Danish Viking.
The three-week invasion will also give visitors an opportunity to sample the great tastes of Denmark, from traditional Danish pastries to mouth-watering “smørrebrød” and unique hot dogs from a Danish hot dog stand. Denmark has recently opened some of the top restaurants in the world, and tthere will be an opportunity to watch demonstrations and talks from some top Danish chefs, to learn what the new Nordic cuisine is all about. Denmark is also renowned for its beer, and the traditional Dickens Inn will be transformed into an exciting Danish pub.
The fun and interaction doesn’t stop there. You will be able to be creative with LEGO, or find out how a windmill works. You won’t miss any of the Olympics either as Danish TV2 will be broadcasting from the heart of the IMAGINATION zone.
If fashion is your thing, finish the adventure by seeing the most stylish men’s and women’s wear and jewellery straight from the catwalks of Europe.
Don’t worry about taking your car — Danish bikes will be available and will provide the best way of getting around this incredible party zone in the centre of London.
