Saturday, 11 August

18:45 It’s a decent crowd down here at the Brazil House, where there is currently a concert with Naurea, which is then followed by Joao Brasil.

Speaking to some Brazilians amongst the crowd, they are determined to have a good night despite Brazil losing the gold medal match to Mexico in the football earlier.

Friday, 3 August

14:35 The sun is shining here in the courtyard of Somerset House and there’s plenty of children having a great time in the fountains. Nowhere here to watch the Games, though.

14:28 There is a great paragliding simulator here, which simulates a glide over Brazil. And if that’s not enough for you you can always get some satisfaction over at the Rolling Stones photo exhibition at Somerset House.

14:14 It’s busy at Casa Brasil, as the crowds enjoy the sun here at Somerset House. No queues to get in, though, and free admission.

Tuesday, 31 July

17:00 See some great Brazilian art at the Embankment Galleries. Well worth a look and will be on display during the duration of the Games.

16:32 There is also an opportunity to hear some local Brazilian artists perform on stage at Somerset House tonight starting at 6:30pm. The full line-up is: Allyrio Mello & DJ Limao 6:30 – 7, Kita Steuer & Sambasoul Transatlantica 7 – 8, John Armstrong 8 – 8:30, Rhythms of the City 8:30 – 9:30, John Armstrong  9:30 – 10

16:15 Its your last chance to catch the film festival at the Brazilian House at Somerset House. Unfortunately I missed the 4pm showing as you have to book your ticket an hour in advance. Tickets are free though and the next showing is at 6:30pm, so get your ticket booked ASAP if you want to find out more about the Brazilian film scene. Whilst your there you can also take in the Rio paragliding exhibition.
