London Prepares was established immediately following the 2012 ticketing lottery results, after hearing the BBC estimate that 11 out of 12 Londoners weren’t fortunate enough to get tickets to the games. Following this utter disappointment, we took it upon ourselves to ensure that Londoners were still able to enjoy an absolutely fantastic “once in a lifetime” Olympics experience despite this setback.
While we will give you the highlighted results of your favourite British athletes, if you’re here looking for results of other nations you’re probably out of luck. However, if like the majority of Londoners you are looking to make the most of the 17 Olympic days, our unofficial source will be your ultimate destination.
Our editorial team is led by Darren Beach, who has previously held leadership roles for similar sites leading up to the 2010 World Cup and the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Our commercial team similarly has major event experience, including the Vancouver 2010 Olympics among other Olympic games projects.
